Progressive Majority: Less Than 10 Weeks to Election Day

Less Than 10 Weeks to Election Day
Dear James,
You may not realize it, but Election Day 2007 is less than ten weeks away.
The media is busy covering the presidential primary fights, but the fact is
there’s first an important election this fall.
We at Progressive Majority are working hard to ensure that progressive
champions are elected – not just to one office, but to every position of
power in government. The candidates we support will pass more laws than the
U.S. Congress – and they are on the cutting edge of issues such as health
care for all, raising wages and civil rights.
I spoke with our Washington State Director Dean Nielsen earlier today and he
worked all Labor Day weekend to make sure the 39 candidates we have
recruited and trained in Washington state are going to run their best
possible campaigns and win!
In every state where we are recruiting progressive champions to run – AZ,
CA, CO, MN, PA, WA and WI – we are working hard to make sure your values are
represented in government.
And with over 100 candidates recruited and expected to run in 2007, there is
a lot of work to do!
We need your donation to maintain the momentum.
Make sure our candidates run the best campaigns possible by donating now so
we can allocate the funds where they are needed most. Our goal is to raise
$20,000 by September 14th. Donate today!
In 2007, we’ve already helped put 19 progressives in office and shifted the
Fort Collins City Council (CO), Oshkosh City Council (WI), and Inglewood
City Council (CA) to progressive majorities. We have over 50 more candidates
with elections this fall. Help keep the movement going! Let’s put all of
them in office and build new progressive majorities across our country.
James, by donating to Progressive Majority you aren’t just going to help put
more progressives in office, you are supporting our progressive values.
Support our progressive values by clicking here and donating.
I hope that our emails have convinced you why these races matter – and that
we’re filling the pipeline with committed candidates, true progressives.
True progressives like you and me — teachers, fire fighters, women, people
of color, union members — people who represent all of America.
Join the thousands of Americans who want progressives elected at all levels
of government, who know that every race matters. By donating $35, $50, or
even $250 or more, you aren’t just donating to Progressive Majority and the
candidates we’ve recruited; you’re joining the progressive movement.

Thank you,
Gloria A. Totten
