Hundreds of antiwar protests on the fifth anniversary of the war!

Hundreds of nationwide protests against the Iraq war!
March on the 5th Anniversary of the War! Impeach Bush!

Iraq war veterans carry impeachment signs at Sept. 15

In the coming week, ImpeachBush is joining with the anti-war movement for mass protests around the country. We are organizing buses, car caravans, printing placards and banners and making sure the call for Impeachment resounds on this coming 5th anniversary of the criminal war in Iraq. These will be locally and regionally coordinated mass actions in cities and towns throughout the country. Please click here to donate to this effort.

On March 15 in Los Angeles, there will be a mass demonstration initiated by a broad coalition against the war in Iraq. Transportation centers throughout southern California are mobilizing to bring people to the action. Student and youth contingents are active in colleges and high schools are organizing for the demonstration.

The March 15 mass march in Los Angeles is just one of thousands of actions that will be taking place around the world on the fifth anniversary of the start of the US invasion and occupation of Iraq.

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have perpetrated one of the great crimes of the modern era by invading and occupying Iraq. Iraq posed no threat to the people of the United States. Every reason they gave for invading Iraq turned out to be a lie.

As many as one out of every three Iraqis have either been killed, wounded, forced to flee the country, or become refugees within the boundaries of Iraq. The status of Iraqi women has been gravely diminished and threatened. Tens of thousands of US troops have been badly wounded or killed. The total price tag for this illegal war and occupation is likely to reach $2 trillion, according to informed estimates.

ImpeachBush is actively building the demonstration in Los Angeles, and other mass demonstrations timed to coincide with the anniversary of the war. We encourage all of our members and supporters to join these demonstrations or to help by making a donation if you can not personally participate. Click here to make your donation.

In San Francisco, there will be mass demonstration on the evening of March 19 (the actual day that the invasion began) following militant direct actions that will take place throughout the earlier part of the in the Bay Area. A wide number of groups are planning and mobilizing for those actions. ImpeachBush is also encouraging all its supporters to attend actions in Chicago, Seattle, and in many cities across Florida.

Please make a donation today to help ensure that we have a major impeachment presence at the mass march in Los Angeles, San Francisco and for the other demonstrations being organized throughout the country. To make an urgently needed contribution click this link.

ImpeachBush helping to build a massive movement of the people for social change, including the immediate and unconditional withdrawal from Iraq. The power for change is in the people not the politicians who are wedded to the system of Empire and corporate dominance.

Although you would not know it from the mass media, the momentum for impeachment continues to grow across the country. We are less than 3,000 votes away from reaching the one million mark for those who have voted at ImpeachBush.org. City councils around the country are on record supporting impeachment. Brattleboro, Vermont recently passed an indictment of Bush and Cheney, which would have those two war criminals arrested if they ever step inside the town limits. The next step to spread the impeachment message is to take to the streets in anti-war protests marking the 5th anniversary of the start of this criminal war.

We ask you to join us in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC, or in any of the actions that are taking place in your area during that week. Click here to go to the ImpeachBush homepage to see a listing of events.
