Instructions for Absentee Voting

October 10, 2008

Dear James,

Recently, we have gotten some questions about absentee voting. To find out if you qualify to vote absentee, you can go to the State Board of Elections absentee voting page.

To receive an absentee ballot, you must fill out an application:

To receive an absentee ballot application, either download the application online or contact you local Voter Registration office to request an application.

Your absentee ballot application must be received in your local voter registration office by October 28th (one week before the election).

You can also fill out an application in person at your local Voter Registration office.

Any questions on absentee voting can be directed to the State Board of Elections at 804-864-8932.

Voting absentee, when you qualify, insures that your vote will be counted even if you cannot make it to vote on Election Day.

Please remember to get out and vote on November 4th!

If you have any questions, please contact us at 804-225-1902 or .
