Spread the Word: Supreme Decisions on Election Day

As the election approaches, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights is pleased to offer "Supreme Decisions: Your Vote, Your Rights & the Court."

This palm card illustrates how voters’ decisions help determine who sits on the Supreme Court.

In a speech this past Monday, President Bush pointed out that: "the selection and confirmation of good judges should be a high priority for every American. We have seen the profound impact that judges can have on the daily lives of every citizen."

In fact, we have seen the courts take a dangerously ideological turn under the president’s relentless nomination of conservative judges and the Senate’s willingness to confirm them. In some cases, Congress has worked to fix bad court decisions that impeded our basic civil rights – whether in the workplace or the voting booth.

We invite you to use these palm cards to help underscore the impact of the courts in your election outreach in your community.

You can order palm cards using the online palm card request form. Or visit our "Supreme Decisions" Web page to download the palm card to print at home!

Be sure to tell your fellow activists, friends and colleagues about the "Supreme Decisions" palm card!
