The President-Elect wants to know what you think

The President-Elect wants to know what you think
Dear James m,
The holiday season is upon us — a time when family, friends, colleagues, and communities come together. Instead of having another conversation about the latest episode of "Grey’s Anatomy," wouldn’t you rather have a discussion about health care that truly matters to women and their families?
Under a new initiative that started today, the President-Elect is encouraging community members to come together to discuss their ideas and concerns about health care reform. The initiative will continue
through Dec. 31.
Sign up to host a discussion in your community about the health care system. You’ll have an opportunity to tell President-Elect Obama’s transition team how health care reform can work for women and their families:
The National Women’s Law Center and our coalition partners at Health Care for America Now are working together to make sure that as many people as possible participate in this important discussion that will help women gain the guaranteed, affordable, and comprehensive health care they need and deserve.
To win health care reform that meets the needs of women, President-Elect Obama will need a team of supporters to help him. Host a community discussion about health care reform and help us tell the President-Elect that any health care reform proposal must address the unique challenges that women face in the health care system:
Thank you for continuing to fight with us for high-quality, affordable, comprehensive health care reform.
Best wishes,
Judy Waxman,
Vice President for Health and Reproductive Rights,
National Women’s Law Center
P.S. Can’t have a get-together to talk about women and health care? You can still be part of the important conversation about how to make health care reform work for women and families by visiting the President-Elect’s website and sharing your thoughts:
