[CLW] 7 Days until Close NY Election

[CLW] 7 Days until Close NY Election
March 23, 2009
Dear JAMES,
The special election to fill now-Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s former House seat could not get any closer. Polls show that the twenty point lead that Republican James Tedisco held over Democrat Scott Murphy just six weeks ago has completely evaporated.
The race is now a statistical dead heat, with just a week left before election day.
Click here to help push Murphy to victory.
Conservatives are panicking:
A national Republican party spokesperson announced last week that it was buying another $100,000 in TV and radio ads for the final week of the campaign.
An independent Republican group was forced to cancel its ads when it couldn’t provide evidence backing inflammatory claims that Murphy had outsourced jobs to India.
Tedisco himself, after pledging to run a positive campaign, is running ads claiming Murphy supports using AIG bailout money for corporate bonuses.
Murphy needs your help to get his positive message heard over the right wing lies and attack ads. Click here to make his voice louder!
Scott Murphy is the kind of progressive voice we need in Washington, DC. He will be a dedicated supporter of progressive foreign policies like reducing U.S. and Russian nuclear arsenals and negotiating with countries like Iran and North Korea. He will oppose the development of new nuclear weapons and the deployment of expensive but ineffective missile defense systems.
There are just a few days left in this critical election. With your help, Murphy has overcome the odds and reached the brink of victory. He needs one final push to cross the finish line.
Click here to make a difference.
Sincerely,
John Isaacs and Guy Stevens
