2009 PEN Election Results: Kwame Anthony Appiah Named President
At this week’s annual Members meeting, PEN voted in new officers and trustees for the coming year. Acclaimed scholar, author, and critic Kwame Anthony Appiah was named president.

PEN Presses for End to Ideological Exclusion at Tariq Ramadan’s Hearing
PEN will be in court seeking an end to ideological exclusion, the practice of refusing visas to foreign writers, scholars, artists, and activists on the basis of their ideas and political views. Also, thanx for signing my petitions, et al, please consider sharing them.
